December

The long anticipated Winter Solstice is about to dawn, and it will be interesting to see just how it all plays out. In the meantime we have a relatively quiet month for aspects, though there are several important ones, however, Mars, Venus, and Mercury all change signs, leading to changes in emphasis for the energies they represent. Still, after the excitement of November's eclipses the astrological "weather" of December seems relatively calm and benign.

Perhaps the day with the most impact would be the New Moon on the 13th, which joins Uranus to present an opportunity to birth new thoughts and insights. However, they may be so far out or unusual that others cannot relate to them or will need time to do so. Then on Christmas day as Mars changes signs leaving Capricorn for Aquarius, the energy of the Sun fires up whatever was conceived on the 13th and pushes it along.

The Full Moon on the 28th coming not too long after on the 25th could give a mighty impetus to whatever began on the 13th and came to light on or before the 25th. To plan for yourself how to use the prevailing energy, try the following: On the New Moon in Sagittarius consider what seeds you will plant to grow over the next two weeks that will bring you greater wisdom and understanding. Over the next two weeks be on the lookout for whatever enhances your New Moon wish. Then by the light of the Full Moon on the 28th, harvest the results, write them down and see how they may be put to work for you. You can expect final results in June with the Sagittarius Full Moon.

Sagittarius is a philosophical sign, Capricorn's Full Moon is a practical one. Since your seeds take shape in Capricorn they can easily have a practical application of some kind. Because Uranus is the Higher vibration of Mercury, Uranian energy assists new ideas to be born out of inspiration. Often there is an expansion or a breaking of barriers and a subsequent expansion of the mind involved. Since Uranus often is felt ahead of its direct contact, the 12th of December will also be a strong day and one to be mindful.

Days to expand on activities: December 2, 14, 17, 19, and 22. Days to be conservative: December 11, 13, 16, 25,. The Winter solstice takes place on the 21st, and is the official beginning of winter but actually is technically the middle of winter, because the days that have been getting shorter are now going to increase in length. The return of the light is to be celebrated with joy no matter the spiritual path is followed. Because there has been so much discussion about this particular Solstice, it will be interesting to see what happens. However regardless of what manifests, as we participate from a positive place, we assist in a positive return of the light for us all.
