February

Mercury spends the entire month in Aquarius, good for inventive, original thinking as well as altruistic communications. There can be opportunities to make friends through chance meetings, and groups may be formed around communication or families. However, this is because it is retrograde for the first eleven days, and then retraces its steps for a bit, there may be mix-ups and confusion especially during the first half of the month.

Venus and Mars both change signs this month. Venus moves from soft, sweet Pisces to sharp, feisty Aries. A fashion focus on what is new and trendy may emerge on or after the 21st, and compassion may not as easily direct choices. Mars too emerges from indecisive Pisces to impulsive Aries on the 20th. This is quite a change and there may be a speedup in arbitration, negotiation, or aggressive action. However, the Sun moves into Pisces on the 18th so these effects may be softened somewhat. The other planets stay in their same signs.

The Full Moon in Leo on the 3rd brings out the theatrical in us, urging us to show off our talents or be dramatic with our romantic notions. For some a focus on children or loved ones will be enhanced at this time. Use the time between full and new Moons to eliminate what is outdated or no longer desired, releasing whatever impedes your creativity. The New Moon in Aquarius at the very end of Aquarius signals a time to think of innovative goals and seek inventive ways to fulfill them over the next two weeks. This is the second New Moon in this sign.

That there have been two New Moons in this sign puts a special emphasis on the Aquarian principles at this time. Innovative approaches, radical resolutions, and opportunities to work together with many toward a common goal are all possible now. The winds of change may blow us into new opportunities or they may blow us off course. Ours is the choice at this time. The energies symbolized by the planetary signals present opportunities that must be taken up in order to be of help in any way. We are the instruments of our salvation or not, as we choose.

Days to be mindful include the 1st: a Venus Neptune conjunction can cause either confusion or spiritual uplift; the 6th: a Jupiter Sun opposition provides an opportunity to balance karma; the 11th: Mercury turns direct and life can be energetically active; the 22nd: Venus and Mars join in Aries for an impactful day; the 23rd: Sun square Saturn equals delays or obstacles;  the 24th: Venus trine Saturn resolves or ameliorates blockages; and the 25th: Mars trines Saturn and Sun joins Neptune to provide a happy solution to longstanding difficulties.

Happy Aquarius to you. Remember that you can expect the unexpected with Uranus in charge; and then may Pisces bring you the sweet dreams it may.
