October

The month begins and ends with a bit of a bang, energy wise. Plutonian energy-- the forces of change from beneath as in revolution--brackets the month. Uranus and Pluto are still traveling in a fairly close square, though headed in opposite directions. They form an exact square just as October ends and November begins. This is likely to be a rather tense month generally speaking, and the Mercury slowdown preceding the actual day it turns retrograde might signal more issues.

Mercury, in Scorpio at the beginning of the month, begins from our geocentric perspective to slow down then turns retrograde for the last third of the month, remaining in Scorpio the whole time. Expect an intensifying of communications in general, and passion and sex in the news. Another possibility is heretofore hidden scandals or other secrets coming to light. For best results make any nonessential purchases prior to the 21st. on the 21st and after focus on "re" activities, such as repair, restore, review, etc. until next month when Mercury turns direct on the 10th.

Sun square Pluto on the 1st suggests the potential for crime or at worst, an act or natural occurrence of violence. To work with the energy, spend time clearing out or cleaning up something you've been avoiding for a while. The New Moon on the 4th suggests finishing up any old projects or plans. Clear the decks for the New Moon in Libra, signaling the potential for relationships to be forming and the initiation of cooperation between partners and others. The Full Moon in Ares on the 18th includes a Lunar Eclipse. Change is enhanced, though it might be on a subconscious level rather than a conscious one.

Venus moving into Sagittarius on the 7th suggests we'll be attracted to travel, a desire to expand our horizons and a stronger focus on hospitality Mars enters Virgo on the 15th and perhaps then details or any activity will seem extra important, as will making sure any action taken is well organized and efficient. On the 29th there could be news of a serious nature. It is an important day to take responsibility for any communications one might make. The 31st precedes the Uranus Pluto square on 11/1 and may be a day of high impact, especially as Mars is trining Pluto early in the AM.

This is a month to be more than usually mindful or one's resistance to change as well as the opportunities for it, especially if it comes suddenly and unexpectedly. Days to be mindful include 10/1, 10/3, 10/21, 10/25. Days to push your luck include 10/6, 10/16, and 10/29 & 30.
