September

September begins quietly and ends relatively so, with several important highlights mid month. The New moon on the 5th and the full Moon on the 19th smile benignly on all, bringing a sense of calm, yet with the urgency to begin preparing for the dark days of the year. While these seem far away as we begin to appreciate  the golden days of fall, they are coming whether we are prepared for them or not.

New Moon in Virgo suggests cleaning, organizing, eliminating, and tying up loose ends for the next two weeks. Virgo is the third month of summer which begins with Cancer and the Summer Solstice. Being a transitional month it is useful for getting little stuff done and finishing up rather than initiating. Make your list for these sorts of tasks to accomplish until the full Moon in Pisces on the 19th. The focus for this Full Moon is compassionate action and spiritual pathwork. Discard what no longer feeds you spiritually and replace it with what does.

Use Virgo energy from the 1st to the 22nd for Virgo tasks: organizing, arranging, cleaning, tending, and so on. This is the prelude to Fall when once the various barns were cleaned to store the food for the long dark nights of winter. Reap and store up your own nourishment--however you interpret that. Libra blows in on the 22nd here at EDT. With days and nights equal length it's time to cleanse and balance out our bodies, moving to the denser food for winter sustenance.

The 1st brings vibrant energy to use for rebirth or renewal. Between the 1st and the 5th you can make a big push for tidying up all loose ends in preparation for the New Moon of the 5th. The 7th brings a cheerful aspect good for fun or entertaining. On the 9th Mercury moves into Libra for a stay and it could get harder to make up your mind. Mars spars with Saturn that day so road blocks might occur. Be patient. There's a lesson to be learned.

Significantly, the 14th is loaded with strong energy. It could be a day of great impact in some way. Unconnected yet powerful interactions could create an unusual interplay of forces. This could further evolve on the 15th and 16th. The 18th could bring important deserved benefits or rewards. On the 20th if you need to make a change this is a fabulous day to do it.  The 22nd brings the Equinox, night and day are equal. Benefits flow on the 26th. Don't let pride lead you into making a mistake and rejecting a benefit on the 28th.

*Of course in the Southern Hemisphere, this advice is topsy turvy, and for that I apologize. Write to me for another interpretation given the reversed seasons.
