July

The Sun enters Leo and Mars, Cancer, while three planets change direction this month: Saturn goes direct with the New Moon of the 8th; Uranus goes retrograde on the 17th; and Mercury goes direct on the 20th. These indicate prevailing currents that can enhance or block energy, depending. The New Moon/Saturn Direct combination could help us focus on stabilizing the home and the family unit. Saturn represents structure-sometimes rigidity if carried too far. The New Moon, however is a bright beginning that helps with the attainment of the goals of its sign--this time Cancer.

The retrograde motion of Uranus brings opportunities to regroup energy or redesign inventive plans. As the higher vibration of Mercury, Uranus signals spiritual insights and opportunities. Uranus is like the electric light bulb that goes off in the cartoons to convey the idea that there is another way or a new one to try. It represents the currents of electricity, and most likely the aura, as that is the visible sign of our personal electrical current. Retrograde motion is generally seen as a reinforcing, or enhancing energy when what is new can be stabilized and built upon.

Of course we are all delighted with Mercury's return to forward motion. Hopefully there were not too many glitches during its retrogradation and all plans have been made so that projects may now go forward smoothly. Venus moves into Virgo where her energy is more detached than usual. A greater focus on personal health is possible, as well as improvements in tidiness and practical matters.

The 4th could prove literally explosive--at least expect something that's surprising. The 7th could see some unusual opportunities arising. Look for unusual opportunities or unlikely choices that are just right. Mars move into Cancer on the 13th could prompt issues around sensitivity to family. Stomach troubles can arise more easily. Try never to eat when agitated. The 21st and 22nd may be noisy or have an impact of some kind. The 27th and the 31st could be very high energy days, and ones to be mindful around sharp or dangerous tools and unpredictable crowds.

The New moon in Cancer suggests we set goals this month to work toward care of family and the home. How you interpret that is up to you. The stars guide, they don't dictate. Remember to write your New Moon abundance check. The Full Moon in Aquarius illuminates involvement with friends as well as groups associated with altruistic service. If you have been checking out ways to do this, it may be time to get involved. Too, it might be helpful to see if it is time to think about whether to further develop any potential friendships or dissolve them.
